Welcome to the Pediatric Orthopaedic Practitioners Society (POPS) website. We are so glad you are here to explore everything POPS has to offer! The POPS organization is comprised of pediatric orthopedic advanced practice providers (APPs), physical therapists, athletic trainers, and nurses from across the country. This organization is led by a board of diverse APPs, all of whom have volunteered their time to support the society. Through our ongoing educational initiatives, networking opportunities, and conferences, we are not only supporting our members but also working to ensure that pediatric orthopedic APPs are recognized as vital contributors to the care team. Some key highlights from this past year include: 1. Expanded Educational Programs: Our annual conference and continuing education opportunities have grown, allowing more of our members to engage with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in pediatric orthopedics. These programs have been instrumental in ensuring that we stay at the forefront of medical knowledge and patient care. 2. Strengthening Our Community: Our commitment to fostering a strong, supportive network for all members remains a top priority. Whether through virtual forums, conferences, or collaborative research initiatives, we are continually finding new ways to connect with one another, share experiences, and learn from our peers. 3. Mentorship and Leadership Development: One of the greatest strengths of our association is our ability to uplift and mentor the next generation of pediatric orthopedic APPs. Through our mentorship programs and leadership training opportunities, we are shaping the future of pediatric orthopedic care and ensuring that our profession continues to thrive. As we look ahead to the future, I am inspired to continue the growth and success of POPS. There are numerous opportunities for us to build on the strong foundation we have created, and I encourage all of you to get involved in shaping the direction of our association. Whether it’s through attending upcoming conferences, submitting a presentation for conference, joining a POPS committee, or seeking a board position, each of us has a role to play in advancing our profession. I am truly honored to serve as your president and look forward to working alongside all of you in the months and years to come. Thank you for your continued dedication, passion, and commitment to the field of pediatric orthopedics. I am excited for what lies ahead and confident that with your engagement, our association will continue to grow and thrive. With warm regards, Valerie Parrish, PA-C President Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioners Society 2024-2025 |
