Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Pediatric Orthopedics

A nationally recognized, large pediatric orthopedic practice in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to partner closely with one of our orthopedic surgeons who leads a highly complex and high-volume surgical practice while also serving as Chief of the Division.
We are looking for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) who is passionate about pediatric orthopedics and thrives in a fast-paced, academically driven, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview
The APP will play a critical role in the care of pediatric orthopedic patients, functioning with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with surgeons, clinical staff, and administrative teams. This position requires strong clinical judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex care coordination for surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate and manage pediatric orthopedic patients in clinic while partnering with our clinic nurse expert.
- Partner closely with a surgeon managing a complex, high-volume surgical practice
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless surgical planning and recovery
- Support clinical and administrative needs associated with divisional leadership
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care to children and caregivers
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-based care model in a nationally ranked program
Qualifications
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Significant experience in pediatric orthopedics or a related pediatric surgical specialty strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to see patients independently
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, flexible, and motivated with a strong work ethic
- Passion for pediatric orthopedics and caring for children with complex conditions
- Active or eligible medical licensure in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Position Details
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday schedule
- No weekends or call specified
- Primary practice located in Philadelphia, PA, within a nationally recognized pediatric orthopedic program.
- Travel required between our New Jersey and Pennsylvania locations
